Suspected gunman murders estranged wife and two others before killing himself in Lafayette shooting spree
Lafayette, LA (KPLC) - Four people are dead, including the suspected gunman after an apparent shooting spree across Lafayette Tuesday, according to KLFY-TV.
The first shooting happened just after 10:00 a.m. on Tournoir Street where a 29-year-old man was shot to death, according to Lafayette Police.
Police identified the suspect, Andrus Jamal Felix, 36, of Lafayette, while at the scene.
The second shooting by Felix, leaving a 25-year-old woman dead, happened just after 5:00 p.m. in the 400 block of Toby Mouton Road, according to Duson Police.
After the shooting, Felix stole a car and made his way back to Lafayette, according to Lafayette Police.
The final victim was Felix’s estranged wife. Felix shot and killed her just after 6:00 p.m. in the 100 block of Clara Street, according to Lafayette Police.
Felix then drove to a families home on Sheila Drive where he took his own life.
A motive has not been identified at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
